What material is the glasses frame light and strong?

Here are some light and strong eyeglass frame materials:

Titanium: Titanium frames are the lightest of all eyeglass frames, and are aerospace materials and wear-resistant.

β-titanium: β-titanium is not a titanium alloy, it is just titanium material in another molecular state, and it is not the same as the so-called titanium alloy. β-titanium frames have better strength, fatigue resistance and environmental corrosion resistance than pure titanium and other titanium alloys. They have good shape plasticity and can be made into wires and thin plates. They are lighter and can be used to make glasses. More shapes and styles can be obtained. It is the material for making a new generation of glasses.

TR-90: TR-90 is also called plastic titanium. It is not actually a titanium alloy, but a polymer nylon material invented by EMS-GRIVORY (Ems Chemical) in Switzerland. Its density is only 1.14~1.15 g/cm3, which is only 1/4 of pure titanium and 1/8 of stainless steel. It can float in high-concentration salt water, is wear-resistant, impact-resistant, and high-temperature-resistant. It has good toughness and automatically recovers after a large bend. It is non-toxic. It is a food-grade material in Europe and is currently the most widely used frame material.

PC (polycarbonate): PC is a plastic sheet. PC frames have high strength and hardness and are not easy to deform. The disadvantage is that they have low toughness, are difficult to adapt to the curve of the head, and are easy to break. Generally, a metal wire is added to the PC material temple to increase toughness, but it is not in the injection molded frame.

Tungsten carbon: Tungsten carbon has a harder hardness than steel and is also very light in weight. Therefore, the glasses frame made of tungsten carbon will not leave marks after long-term wear, and it is not easy to get tired and comfortable to wear. Moreover, tungsten carbon has the characteristics of corrosion resistance and high safety factor, so tungsten carbon plastic steel eyeglass frames have the advantages of high hardness, high safety factor and corrosion resistance.

Carbon fiber: LOHO carbon fiber material is the lightest among all eyeglass frame materials. Material testing has confirmed that carbon fiber of the same volume is 29% lighter than titanium frame and 1/3 lighter than metal. Its essential properties determine that it is relatively light, and the weight of the nose bridge can be greatly reduced when worn.
